FAQ

Common questions about ShareThePower answered simply.

Is ShareThePower really free?

Yes, 100% free to use. No subscription. No hidden fees. No credit card required.

We make money by taking a small percentage of what you earn. If you earn $100, we keep about $15 and you get $85. If you earn nothing, we make nothing.

How does this actually work?

Your computer has a graphics card (GPU) that's mostly sitting idle. Companies need computing power for things like AI training and rendering. We connect you to them.

  1. You install our app
  2. Companies rent your GPU power through us
  3. You get paid for the power they use

Will it slow down my computer?

At 10-20% power level, most people don't notice any difference. At 30%, you might notice during heavy gaming or video editing - that's why we have a toggle to pause anytime.

Is it safe?

Yes. We can only use your GPU for calculations. We can't access your files, passwords, or anything else. Read more about security.

How much can I earn?

Most users earn $200-700/month depending on:

  • What GPU you have (newer = more)
  • How long you share (overnight + weekends adds up)
  • What power level you choose

When do I get paid?

Every Monday. Money goes to your PayPal or Venmo within 24 hours.

What computers work?

Any computer with a GPU:

  • Windows 10 or newer
  • macOS 10.15 or newer
  • Most Linux distributions

Even integrated graphics work (like Intel UHD), though dedicated GPUs earn more.

Can I use my computer while sharing?

Absolutely. That's the whole point. Work, browse, stream - the app runs quietly in the background. Pause it for gaming or heavy work if you want.

What if I want to stop?

Click the toggle to pause. Or uninstall the app completely. No contracts, no commitments, no hassle.

Is this crypto mining?

No. We don't mine cryptocurrency. Companies use your GPU for legitimate computing tasks like AI model training, scientific simulations, and rendering.
